How does booklet printing work?

Booklet printing rearranges pages so that when printed double-sided and folded in half, they read in order. For a 16-page document, the tool arranges pages as: sheet 1 front (16, 1), sheet 1 back (2, 15), sheet 2 front (14, 3), and so on. You print, stack, fold, and staple in the middle.

Does the page count need to be a multiple of 4?

No. If your page count is not a multiple of 4, the tool automatically adds blank pages at the end to complete the booklet. For best results, you can adjust your document to a multiple of 4 pages before converting.

What paper size should I use?

Use the paper size that is double your desired booklet size. For an A5 booklet, print on A4 paper. For a half-letter booklet (5.5x8.5 inches), print on Letter paper. The tool arranges two pages per sheet at the appropriate size.
