Will this work on password-protected PDFs?

This tool removes permission restrictions, not password encryption. If a PDF requires a password to open, use the Unlock PDF tool first. If the PDF opens normally but has restricted actions (like no printing), this tool will remove those restrictions.

Is removing restrictions legal?

Removing restrictions on documents you own or have legitimate access to is generally legal. However, circumventing DRM protections may be restricted in some jurisdictions. Use this tool responsibly for documents you have the right to modify.

Does removing restrictions change the document content?

No. Only the permission flags are cleared. All text, images, formatting, and layout remain exactly as they were. The document looks and reads identically.
